DPR funding to support the procurement of supplies and materials essential for ECSDCs existing Training Program participants.
Mayor office of African Affair funding is to support existing Work Readiness Training Program. The program is designed to empower 60 underserved out-of-school youth, aged 16-21, residing in D.C.s poorest wards (5, 7, and 8). These youth face heightened risks of unemployment, poverty, homelessness, poor health outcomes, and social isolation, particularly within the African immigrant community, which experiences disproportionately high unemployment rates and systemic barriers to success.
