Open Knowledge Database Development (Initiated and In Progress) Objective: To create a freely accessible digital library compiling open-access, public domain, and Creative Commons resources, making scientific and educational materials available to the public. This initiative supports lifelong learning and equitable access to knowledge. Accomplishments: Research has been conducted on the technical requirements and infrastructure needed to host a scalable and accessible database. Initial work has begun on website structure and content categorization to ensure efficient navigation and usability. The project remains in its early stages as we explore the best practices for organizing and maintaining an extensive collection of resources. Long-term Goal: To develop a robust digital repository serving thousands of users annually, offering high-quality educational resources across diverse fields of study.
AI Safety & Ethics Research (Initiated and In Progress) Objective: To critically examine the ethical implications and safety concerns surrounding artificial intelligence, focusing on its current capabilities, limitations, and potential societal impact. This research aims to provide insights that inform ethical AI development and policy decisions. Accomplishments: A structured research project titled Navigating the Horizon: Evaluating the State, Ethics, and Future Directions of Artificial Intelligence has been initiated. This project includes a literature review of existing AI frameworks, ethical guidelines, and safety protocols, along with the development of research objectives to assess AI's trajectory. A research methodology has been established, incorporating expert interviews, case studies, and policy analysis. Work is ongoing to synthesize findings into actionable insights. Long-term Goal: To contribute meaningful research to the AI ethics and policy landscape, fostering informed discussions among developers, policymakers, and the public while promoting responsible AI innovation.
