The academic association that represents the executive degree industry, the emba council (embac) advances the cause of degrees targeted for executives and working professionals by serving as a facilitator of best practice sharing and knowledge dissemination, and fostering an inclusive and diverse community among high-quality programs. Embac plays a thought leadership role by engaging in research that offers insights, by generating or packaging relevant content of importance and interest to the membership and industry, by advocating for the industry, and by nurturing an environment of inclusion that inspires all members and stakeholders.

Annual conference for universities offering or interested in executive degree programs as well as other educational offerings.
Benchmarking
To organize and assist with regional meetings for executive degree program directors to meet new colleagues, network within their geographic regions, and have a chance to see other campuses. The meetings also offer an oppertunity to include staff and faculty that are unable to travel to the emba council's annual meeting. Travel to the regional meetings and member schools to deliver presentations about the industry. Travel for staff and board members for required board meetings to provide operations and budget updates and discuss strategies.the council also provides publications to allow members to advertise for a nominal fee as a way of promoting their school, services, etc.
