To engage in the activity and business of gardening and gardening education with a volunteer labor force, under the direction of the North Carolina State Cooperative Extension Service. By teaching and encouraging responsible gardening, New Hanover County Extension Master Gardeners are benefiting the environment and enhancing the quality of life for residents of New Hanover County. The Organization has filed IRS Form 1023 requesting a change in its exempt status to that of a (501) (C) (3) entity.
