1 program
The austin fermentation festival is a one-day educational event produced by f2m texas that celebrates all things fermented in central texas. The day includes a series of fermentation workshops (covering topics such as sauerkraut, kefir, cheese making, charcuterie, beer, sourdough, vinegars and lacto-fermented vegetables), a community culture swap, a kraut mob, fermented foods and product vendors, book sales, festival-inspired lunch and beverages from local purveyors, a mini farmers' market and live, local music. The event is zero-waste, in keeping with f2m texas' pledge to be a zero-waste organization. Proceeds from this event benefit the texas farmers' market emergency fund, which offers financial assistance in $500 increments to texas farmers and ranchers in times of environmental, personal or other crisis.
