Voter Engagement:In 2024, Faith in Action Alabama led a non-partisan statewide voter engagement campaign. Through phonebanking, pulpit announcements and social media, Faith in Action Alabama volunteers reached out over 20,000 voting-age Alabamians to encourage them to vote.
Voter Rights Restoration Campaign:In 2024, Faith in Action Alabama played an active role in raising public awareness for a need for state legislative reforms to remove some barriers to voting faced by formerly incarcerated Alabamians. This public awareness work included state legislators and convening community gatherings to discuss this issue. In addition, Faith in Action Alabama engaged over 300 formerly incarcerated Alabamians to help them register to vote or make them aware what steps they need to take to regain their voting rights.
