Community support services (css): includes jersey assistance for community caregiving (jacc) and statewide respite care (srcp). Jacc provides eligible monmouth & mercer county residents a range of in-home services as an alternative to nursing home placement, enabling individuals with chronic physical or mental disabilities continue to live with dignity in their home of choice for as long as possible. Srcp provides eligible monmouth & mercer county residents with assistance to support those caring an elderly or disabled relative or friend.

Adult protective services: fcs is the adult protective services (aps) unit for monmouth and middlesex counties. Aps programs have been established in each county in nj to receive and investigate reports of suspected abuse, neglect and exploitation of vulnerable adults living in the community. Abuse may be physical, psychological or sexual. Self-neglect occurs when adults are unable to care for themselves properly because of mental or physical illness. A care giver can neglect a vulnerable adult if appropriate care is not provided. Aps sends a trained worker to the alleged abused person's home to assess the validity of the report. If the allegations are substantiated and the vulnerable adult has capacity and is willing to accept help, the worker will take steps to identify and put in place appropriate resources or interventions.

Other programs include: the representative payee program manages the finances of people who are unable to do so due to physical, mental or developmental disabilities. Working with a cient's caseworker, our specially trained staff helps ensure that monthly housing costs, utilities and other living expenses are met, reducing the client's risk of homelessness. Volunteer services also provide volunteer opportunities for those 55 and over.
