Food pantry and diaper bank - fhf provides free food and/or diapers to eligible low-income families. Fhf partners with the midwest food bank, atlanta food bank via lions club international, united way and village at the creek apartments to provide food to families facing food insecurities. Distribution takes place once a month and as needed. Contactless deliveries are also made to families who are sick, disabled, elderly, or without transportation. In 2024, 2,293 people combated food insecurity by receiving food and essential supplies from our pantry and special distributions.

Homelessness prevention and case management - rental and utilities assistance & economic recovery: fhf provides rental, mortgage, and utilities assistance to eligible households. The goal of this program is to keep individuals and families housed while they recover from medical and economic hardships. People assisted are able to retain their homes and avoid disconnection of essential utilities - electricity, gas, and water. Case management is also provided with the goal of economic recovery and stability, specifically jobs search and placement, financial literacy, and assistance with mainstream benefits. In 2024, 18 families (69 household members) received rental and utilities assistance. They moved out of eviction status and have retained housing through targeted case management. Families assisted in 2023 continued to receive case management and support services in 2024.

All other accomplishments - adult literacy program: fhf provides free english language and citizenship classes to refugees and immigrants. Participants show improvement in conversational english. In 2024, fhf did not provide any adult esl or citizenship classes. Instead, fhf worked with refugee placement agencies that were already providing adult literacy services to their refugee clients.
