Residential & independent living service: the psychiatric residential treatment facility (prtf) works actively with families, child welfare agencies, hospitals, and community mental health centers, in collaborative partnership, to offer strengths-based, culturally competent, and medically appropriate treatment designed to meet the individual needs of the resident, including those residents identified with severe emotional behavior issues. The teens reaching adult independent living (trail) program assists young people navigate what would otherwise be a very complicated path from adolescence to adulthood for children preparing to age out of the foster care system. During this period on average 32 youth were served each month by the prtf and 8 youth were served each month by trail.
