Programs
4 programs
Senior counseling and advocacy: this program provides a number of services to seniors and their families, including information & assistance, supportive counseling, adult protective services, family caregiver support and evidence-based healthy aging programs.
Meals on wheels: this program provides home-delivered, hot noon meals and optional cold sack suppers to seniors and others who have difficulty preparing meals due to illness, injury or disability. Meal preparation is supervised by a dietician and special diet meals are available. Approximately 300 community volunteers deliver the meals five days per week and also provide brief socialization and a reassurance check for those receiving the meal.
Retired and senior volunteer program: this program promotes and supports opportunities for seniors to be involved in the community through volunteerism. The program offers senior volunteers, age 55 or better, placement assistance, mileage and meal reimbursement, insurance and well-deserved recognition.
Other programs include: family counseling, senior transportation, children first, self-help center, and the stevick center.
