Lawrence county farm bureau also gives a schlorship each year to a senior student who plans on majoring in agriculture. The lawrence county farm bureau has a farm day where elementary school children can come and see the working of a real farm and how livestock is taken care of and where their food and fiber come from. This is an eye opening experience for the children to see how important agriculture is to the sustainability of life.
