EVENTS: Public Presentations on Kentucky's LGBTQ History, including public libraries, museums, schools and universities, and other nonprofits, reaching about 1,000 participants a year. Major programming in 2024 included 1) Capricorn Rising: Celebrating Henry Faulkner's 100th Birthday at 21c Museum Hotel. Estimate of around 250 in attendance on January 7, 2024. 2) The 7th Annual Transylvania Liberal Arts + Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon at Transylvania University had roughly 70 attendees including students, staff, faculty, and community members on March 2, 2024. 3) Pride of Place Walking Tour for 23 students and 3 staff members from Eastern Kentucky University. They were brought by Miles Feroli through EKU's Center for Inclusive Excellence and Global Engagement on April 15, 2024. 4) Under The Southern Cross Film Premiere, where roughly 700 people attended the Premiere at the historic Kentucky Theatre, with around 100 of them joining FMA at The Bar Complex for the After Party on May 30, 2024. 5) The Lexington Pride Festival at Central Bank Center, where we tabled and presented "Here, Black, Femme, & Queer." There were hundreds of visitors to our table on June 29, 2024. 6) The Old Lesbians Film Screening and Virtual Q&A at 21c Museum Hotel Lexington was funded by 21c, who partnered with Lex Lez Night and Lussi Brown. Approx. 80 attendees participated there, followed by Happy Hour at Lussi Brown on July 7, 2024. 7) FMA tabled at Kentucky Black Pride Festival at Woodland Park on September 14, 2024. 8) FMA spoke to around 80 attendees at the Next City Vanguard Conference about FMA and the Pride of Place Walking Tour. The original plan to have volunteers stationed at tour stops was canceled due to rain. The conference presentation occurred without the walk on September 24, 2024. 9) A Self-Archiving Workshop at 21c Museum Hotel Lexington, where people who participated receive free archiving kits on October 6, 2024.
