Management and development of federally subsidized housing projects for the elderly.

Meal program- this program was started in may 2009 and is subsidized by the jewish federation. Residents pay $1 for a boxed lunch up to three times per week in each of the buildings. There were approximately 19,419 meals served during the fiscal year.

Expenses: $140K

Transportation program- 2 mini-vans and a 14 passenger mini bus were available to transport passengers at no charge to doctor's appointments, food shopping, malls and other outings by appointment. These services were outsourced in november 2017 and the vehicles were sold, but the residents continue to receive transportation services at no charge. The program was temporarily suspended from march 2020 until july 2021 due to covid-19. There were 1774 total resident rides for the fiscal year.

Friends program- this program represents funds committed to assist residents with out of pocket medical expenses and for activities to help improve the quality of life of the residents. There were over 1,000 residents that benefited from this program for the fiscal year.

Expenses: $36K

Chaplaincy is a service where a rabbi provides an invaluable link to jewish ritual and communal life by organizing shabbat programs and high holiday services. The rabbi is available to federation housing's roughly 1,700 residents. Currently there are over 270 federation housing residents who actively participate in at least one aspect of the jewish chaplaincy program.
