The purpose of fen is to help and assist public elementary schools improve the quality of education by following principles of the leading pedagogical models and most innovative schools of the twentieth and twenty first centuries, along the lines of education theorists such as maria montessori, john dewey, jean-ovide decroly, loris malaguzzi and others.the organization is eager to implement its methods of education in a struggling public elementary school. The organization believes that change is achieved incrementally. The organization will contact the principals of struggling elementary schools and find out how it can assist with its smallest needs: school supplies, whiteboards, grounds beautification, motivational posters... From there, if the school desires, it will attempt to assist with educational materials and methods.
