Mission

Prevention of Human Trafficking through Education and support and advocacy services for survivors of human trafficking. Training on identifying and assisting human trafficking victims is provided to law enforcement agencies, medical personnel, educators, hotel and restaurant employees, and the general public. Education about the signs of potential trafficking and victimization prevention is provided for schools, youth groups, youth in juvenile detention center, and other at-risk populations.

Trafficking Awareness and Prevention, and Interdiction training for individuals who may interact with victims or potential victims: Training programs are provided for school staff and faculty to help them identify students who may be at risk for or currently be victims of trafficking. These training sessions are usually a part of teacher's in-service sessions. Programming has also been developed and implemented with area municipal and county law enforcement agencies to provide officers with skills to identify victims of trafficking and to use existing laws and legal procedures to give victims opportunity to be removed from their situation. General human trafficking awareness training is also given to many community, church and social organizations to heighten awareness of the issue and to empower individuals to know what signs to look for in their communities and how to report suspicious activity.

At-Risk Youth: Development and presentation of programs and curriculum for you who are in situation that put them at elevated risk for trafficking. This includes meeting with at-risk youth in local juvenile detention centers.

Survivor Advocacy and Support: Assisting trafficking survivors to connect with available resources such a legal representation, counseling, and financial assistance.
