Mission
To promote short film productions in the local area by having an annual contest. The contest invites all individuals across the country to shoot a short film centered in the shreveport/bossier city area with winners receiving grants and prizes. Also, the film prize foundation, inc. Supports other local activities by having additional contests/festivals: louisiana startup prize, louisiana music prize and the louisiana food prize.

Prize fest - 4 creative competitions - film, music, food and comedy. Elevates locals and non-locals to live and work in creative industries. Over 5,000 attendees both local and non-locals to experience our community. Over $30 million in economic impact since 2012.
Louisiana film prize - 38 short films in caddo parish, local production average spend = $3,500 per film with over 100 films per cycle. Local cast and crew hired for film prize 250+. Cast and crew database with over 200 active accounts. Film prize junior - middle school / high school free year-round film education program. Over 115 films completed statewide. Startup prize focus on health 69 companies and their founders participated in this 6 month program that included 2 qualifiers and and 1 final competition. 23 state represented. Partnerships with louisiana economic development, blue cross/ blue shield, ochsner / lsu health, mass challenge
