Mission

The purpose of the Club is to support the propagation of fish and game and to encourage participation in outdoor sports. Consistent with this, the Club provides facilities and educational programs that encourage the conservation of fish and game and other wildlife resources and habitats; encourage interest in the hunting and fishing activities; encourage organized shooting sports including competition in rifle, pistol, shotgun shooting. and provides educational programs for Members and the general public in hunting and fishing activities. The Club promotes clean sportsmanship and safety at all times and operates its facilities as is helpful and appropriate to the foregoing.

Rifle and Pistol Ranges and Activities: The pistol ranges at the Fin, Fur and Feather offer Club members, their families and guests a safe, well maintained, and clean location to enjoy shooting year-round. The Fin Fur and Feather team competes on Wednesday evenings at various locations against other teams in the Maspenock Handgun and Worcester County Pistol Leagues from September through April.

Skeet and Trap Ranges: The Fin, Fur, and Feather Club offers its members three well maintained fields for skeet and trap, normally available for shooting on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, as well as holidays. Two fields are set up as combination fields for both skeet and trap. The third field is a regulation size trap field utilized for practice and special events.

Our club offers a competitive youth shooting team called the Hot Shots. Teens from middle school through high school are welcome to join. Participants start with firearm safety then build skills alongside certified coaches. The practices and competitions reinforce personal responsibility in a fun and nurturing team environment.

Outreach: The Club sponsors educational programs including hunter safety, CPR and trauma classes, new shooter workshops, gun law reviews, pepper spray training, intra club tournaments, refuse to be a victim training, and introduction for basic laws and familiarization with firearms for women. The Club also provides a venue for local boy and girl scout troops for encampments, training, and cookouts.
