Mission
To advance firefighter safety through education and training on air management best practices. We promote new air management technologies that enhance firefighter safety and advocate for the implementation of codes requiring these innovative solutions.

Code adoption - the fac provides advocate support to fire departments throughout the united states in need of fire codes to advance air standpipe systems for large structures, both high rise and horizontal.
Education and training - the fac provides three annual on-site, regional training programs focused on air management, strategy and tactics in operations to preserve firefighter air. The fac also develops publications focused on firefighters understanding how to use their air during operations, how to extend their air through physiological processes. Topics also include the dangers of fire smoke, cancer, illness and disease related to the inhalation of fire smoke, and the latest research on all of the topics contained herein.
