FAVA's mission is to foster creativity and community by exhibiting contempoary visual art, educating people of all ages, and strengthening cultural awareness throughout the community.

FAVA's gallery and exhibition program at the New Union Center for the Arts emphasizes contemporary Ohio artists in combination with efforts to balance traditional approaches to visual art with those that might push the envelope for a community based exhibition space. FAVA presents students works, local artists, and larger national/international juried and invitationals. FAVA's gallery staff provides technical assistance to organizations and schools.
