Healthy City Collaborative: We convene many multi-sector organizations in our Healthy City Collaborative monthly. The purpose of Healthy City is to support individuals and communities in improving their health and well-being through free physical activity. We achieve this through collaborative partnerships to ensure equitable, coordinated access to resources across the region. Our focus areas are: free and low-cost activities; safe, abundant, convenient infrastructure for phycial activity; expanded knowledge of parks and trails; culturally responsive communication to increase reach; community engagement and leadership in physical activity; collaborative partnerships in health and well-being across agencies and entities in Greater Houston; and a centralized reference resource for free or low-cost physical activity oppourtunities across the region.
