Florence Thomas Art School Inc

The Florence Art school provided 360 free art classes for Ashe County Senior and elderly residents through a grant from The Haven Foundation, Spark the Arts. Art classes were offered in four different media to residents of Ashe County that were either residents of a assisted living facility or attendees of the two senior centers in our county.

An average of 15 Florence Thomas paintings were on display at any one time. An average of 1500 works of art were exhibited throughout the year. There were 140 guest artists and approximately 5,500 visitors came to the gallery during the year.
