Mission
The mission of fadaa is to solicit and administer grants, contracts, conferences and other activities that support workforce development, address public education on behavioral health issues, provide training and technical assistance, and other activities that support mental health and substance use disorder prevention, treatment and recovery initiatives and the work of the florida behavioral health association.

Fl.dept.of children & families-communication & training- the association sponsers various training seminars & workshops regarding alcohol & drug abuse treatment & prevention. Additionally, the state of florida (passed through the fl. Dept. Of children & families) contracts with fadaa to manage a program enabling community-based substance abuse treatment providers to access an extended release injectable naltrexone (vivitrol) as a treatment option for alcohol or opioid-addicted individuals.
Coordinate workforce treatment & certification activities; train and disseminate information to the community.
