The florida stock market challenge is an exciting way to engage elementary, middle, or high school students while presenting lessons across the curriculum of economics, social studies, math, reading comprehension, cte and personal finance. Established more than 25 years ago, the florida stock market challenge gives k-12 students the opportunity to participate in an online investment simulation and manage a hypothetical $100,000 investment portfolio. Teams throughout the state compete against students at their same grade level for the best portfolio performance over a 10-week period and are awarded prizes at the end of both the fall and spring semesters.

Expenses: $64K

Financial freedom is a comprehensive curriculum in personal finance developed by the council and distributed to 60,000 students each year, without cost to teachers or school districts. Financial freedom strengthens middle and high school students' financial literacy knowledge by introducing the critical concepts of earning income, buying goods and services, saving, using credit, financial investing and protecting and insuring. Financial freedom can be used as a stand-alone text in a financial literacy class, or as a supplement to any financial course or training.
