The resiliency florida initiative supports student resiliency and character education by providing public awareness materials aimed at students, parents and teachers that would educate, promote perseverance, and help connect students to available resources. The public awareness campaign should include a website, videos, social media graphics, and public service announcements that direct students, parents and teachers to the resiliency toolkit created by the department of education.
The florida teacher of the year program honors and recognizes exceptional public school educators across the state. The program aims to celebrate outstanding teaching, foster professional growth, and elevate the teaching profession. Selected educators participate in a year-long series of professional development activities through the florida teacher lead network, engage in collaborative events such as the teacher of the year roundtable, and become part of an alumni network to continue enhancing their leadership skills.
