We sponsored the annual Gain-In-Weight contest at the Gadsden County Livestock Show and Sale. The purpose of this event is to promote education and real world practical use of scientific feeding systems to improve livestock performance. This helps the livestock industry in this county.

Farm City Week is a time to recognize the interdependence of rural and urban communities. This week is a time to celebrate the relationship between the two communities and how each cannot exist without the other. A tour of the Shade Tobacco Museum is provided during the event. Many of the attendees were able to share their family stories and discuss a commodity that was once prevalent in our county.
