Alachua County Farm Bureau has partnered with a local television station to make the public aware of the various agricultural issues impacting our local farmers and ranchers. This is the only locally produced program in North-Central Florida that focuses on our local agriculture and rural citizens. Each program focuses on some aspect of agriculture or some important topic or issue faced by agricultural producers and rural residents.
Alachua County Farm Bureau provides an array of educational opportunities for students of all ages. We provided academic scholarships to High School students whose applications are deemed outstanding by our Youth & Educational committee who want to pursue an agriculture degree. We also hold a Youth Speech Contest. The purpose of this contest is to promote a stronger interest and clearer understanding of the many aspects of agriculture. It gives students the opportunity to gain knowledge, appreciation, and understanding of agriculture.
