Mission
The Mission of the Florida Native Plant Society is to promote the preservation, conservation, and restoration of the native plants and native plant communities of Florida.
Programs
2 programs
Research and Conservation numerous statewide programs and projects to conserve and research Floridas native plants and plant communities. These include habitat restoration, habitat studies, plant rescue and restoration, land management, as well as monitoring and surveying populations of Floridas rare and endangered plant species and plant communities. Funding for students and conservation professionals is made available through grant programs supporting research, applied plant conservation, and ethnobotany.
Policy Policies, policy statements and guidelines are produced to promote the preservation, conservation, and restoration of Floridas native plants and native plant communities. These policies and policy statements are shared with the public, land managers, and elected representatives with the assistance of a lobbyist.
