Education and community:tfo's extensive education and community engagement activities and accessibility initiatives make it possible for a large portion of the orchestra's annual total audience to participate in its services free of charge or for low cost. These activities follow our commitment to educate and impact a wide range of community members of all ages, backgrounds, and socioeconomic means, including but not limited to: (continued on schedule o)-masterworks classical kids & teens tickets: offers free masterworks tickets to patrons ages 5-18. -pops kids & teens tickets: offers reduced-priced tickets to patrons ages 5-18. -library voucher program: offers free tickets throughout the hillsborough and pinellas county public library system to library patrons and their families. For the first time, vouchers were implemented in the talking book library for the blind.-youth concerts: serves two of the largest school districts in the area, hillsborough and pinellas, by curating immersive, engaging youth-centered programming. Tfo youth concerts are provided to schools at no cost, serving thousands of students in grades 3, 4 and 5. -family concerts: community-based family concerts offer a themed full-orchestra performance for families of all ages, geared for pre-k-12. The concerts center around audience engagement, shared music enrichment and educational opportunities for families. - pops in the park concerts: our biggest concerts of the year serve a total of about 30,000 residents throughout tampa bay. These three, full-orchestra concerts are free and accessible to all, especially families, in public parks in hillsborough and pinellas counties. Pre-concert shows provide a platform for community musical organizations to perform for large audiences.-instrument petting zoo: offers opportunity for community members of all ages and experience levels to try out and play instruments. Instrument petting zoos are free and mobile, brought directly to pillars in our communities: schools, libraries, community/recreation centers, 55+ communities, and more.-side by side outreach: these full-orchestra services are free to the local youth orchestra organizations. Student musicians, ages 11-18, sit side-by-side with tfo musicians, conducted by tfo's resident conductor. Tfo musicians mentor and provide live feedback to student musicians. Includes q/a session as well as a full performance open to the public.-strings project for kids: a free after-school music enrichment and life skills strings class. Classes run throughout the entire school year. Two branches exist, strings for kids (elementary students and community strings project (middle and high school summer). Strings projects for kids students participate in two performances as well as supplemental music enrichment activities. The program resides in title 1 trauma response elementary schools and underserved communities and serves students grades 2-5.-lobby performance program: elementary, middle, high school, and local community ensembles perform for patrons in the concert hall lobby prior to tfo concerts. Schools come from three major counties: pasco, hillsborough, and pinellas. Tfo provide free tickets for student musicians to attend the tfo concert after the lobby performance.-teaching artist program: this program serves middle school and high school orchestra programs in the pinellas public school system. Teaching artists are highly trained professional musicians and educators. Teaching artist program prioritizes supporting new teachers and non-string teachers. A subsidiary program, the partner school program, prioritizes 3-4 two high-need orchestra programs. The teaching artist program provides consistent weekly site visits, mpa clinics, direct in-classroom and curricula support, and any additional needs requested by individual school or the school district. Serves hundreds of students each week.-sing out tampa bay: a community chorus open to all community members of all ages.
