Mission

The Fly Brave Foundations mission is to provide free services programs and resources to adults with developmental disabilities who have aged out of the school system focusing on three essential building blocks; provide hands-on career and vocational training; social and life skills classes; events Fashion Show Art Show Prom and workshops art cooking public speaking; and living a healthy lifestyle through fitness programs.

Programs

7 programs

Fly Braves Art Program offers Community Murals Graphic Design Workshops Classes and Art Shows. This program serves as both an employment training initiative for individuals with developmental disabilities and a social hub for artists to convene and craft in a secure setting. Art workshops are complimentary and cater to artists aged 18 and above on Thursday mornings at our store and on Saturday mornings for individuals of all ages at the local community center. Fly Brave supplies all necessary materials and provides a light snack. In 2024 the program served 75 families. Artists designed two t-shirt collections jewelry accessories and canvas art showcased at various marketplace events. The Community Mural Project Program continued and logos were crafted for local small businesses in the neighborhood.

Fly Brave Cafe: Over three years Fly Brave board members and volunteers renovated an existing coffee shop linked to its thrift store. The cafe operates as a barista training program for neurodiverse adults keen on food service coffee and related interests.
