Fomares is working to protect the ocean, coastal zones and surrounding waters with accountable actions and measurable results. In mexico the marine surface is 1.5 times bigger than its land surface. It is 315 million hectares big and it is connected with the pacific ocean, the gulf of mexico, the sea of cortez and the caribbean sea all of these are home to an unparalleled biodiversity, making mexico one of the most biodiverse countries in the world.
