Mission
Food for hope's mission is to empower and strengthen the future of their communities by providing nutritious food to children in need.
Programs
2 programs
School fuel - students need snacks at school to maintain focus, keep their energy up, and find success in their classes. Many teachers have reported to us that they use personal finances to purchase extra snacks for their students who are not able to bring one from home. We created this program to provide school day snacks and alleviate the financial burden from teachers who are providing this on their own.
In-school food pantries - these food pantries provide fresh and shelf- stable food to kids who attend school in the district or school where they are located. Food for hope works with each location to identify families who need food resources and enable them to shop for what they need. Food banks are currently located in adams 12, 27j, adams 14, pinnacle charter school and mapleton public schools.
