FOOD RESCUE US - FAIRFIELD COUNTY STRENGTHENS AND EMPOWERS HEALTHY COMMUNITIES BY INCREASING ACCESS TO HEALTHY FOOD AND GIVING COMMUNITIES THE RESOURCES THEY NEED TO SERVE THEMSELVES. FOOD RESCUE US - FAIRFIELD COUNTY HAS INCREASED THE QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF FOOD THAT OUR AGENCY PARTNERS CAN PROVIDE. WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO THIS BECAUSE OF OUR MODEL WHICH UTILIZES OUR PROPRIETARY APP, LARGE VOLUNTEER BASE, AND DIRECT-TRANSFER MODEL. THESE ASPECTS OF OUR MODEL MAKE IT ADAPTABLE AND ENABLE US TO RESCUE SMALL TO LARGE AMOUNTS OF FOOD AT SHORT NOTICE FROM AN ARRAY OF FOOD DONORS, FROM GROCERY STORES TO CONVENTION CENTERS TO FARMS.
