For Freedom International

For Freedom International's second primary focus for ministry growth and impact has been in the development of the Vocational Training Center in Phuket, in Partnership with local Thai churches. We support a social worker to administer our Child Advocacy program to train students and teachers in preventing sexual exploitation, rescuing victims of child labor and sexual abuse and exploitation, and maintaining a foster care system in cooperation with the local church to care for children rescued from exploitation. For Freedom International Foundation supported on-going programs related to the rescue and rehabilitation of exploited individuals as part of our stated objective to prevent exploitation, to assist those who have been exploited, to rehabilitate and retrain them for careers in baking or salon work, payment for maintenance of a safe house to provide a place for rescued individuals to safely stay during their time of recovery, rehabilitation, and re-training, making possible the freedom to move past the exploitation and forward to safe and productive lives. For Freedom International Vocational Training Center offers two core tracks. The Dessert and Beverage Course teaches students to make both Thai and Western desserts, prepare a variety of beverages, and manage bakery equipment. They also gain experience in financial literacy and service management. The Beauty and Hairdressing Course provides hands-on training in the fundamentals of hair care, salon hygiene, and customer service. Students also learn how to manage and operate a beauty salon by serving actual clients from within the Foundation and the local community. In addition to Vocational skills, all Vocational students receive instruction in English, life skills, personal finance, conflict resolution, arts and crafts, music, and Christian Discipleship promoting holistic development that supports long-term healing and reintegration to society. By offering both professional training and personal growth opportunities, For Freedom International's Vocational Training Program is helping survivors reclaim their identity, discover their potential, and step into a new life rooted in freedom, faith, and purpose.

In 2024, For Freedom International continued to provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young girls recovering from exploitation and abuse. The Freedom Shelter is more than a place to sleep-it's a place to heal, grow, and belong. In 2024, the shelter expanded its living spaces to ensure greater comfort and privacy for both the girls and their caretakers. Residents now enjoy more spacious bedrooms, a clean and well-equipped kitchen, and a shared living room that serves as a space for play, creativity, connection, and community meetings. These improvements reflect our commitment to creating an environment that feels like home-one where every girl feels safe, valued, and free to be herself. In addition to providing physical safety, the Freedom Shelter also offers comprehensive medical care, including physical, mental, and dental support, to promote full healing. For girls wishing to pursue their education, we offer financial and academic support to help them continue their studies through non-formal and informal educational pathways, enabling them to work at their own pace and regain confidence in their abilities. By meeting the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of each girl, the Freedom Shelter plays a vital role in the long-term restoration journey-helping survivors move from a place of trauma to one of purpose and hope. For Freedom International accepted contributions and provided them to For Freedom International Foundation in Thailand in support of our ministry objectives as stated in accomplishments 1 and 2, above. All For Freedom International activities support our primary ministry objectives which are to rescue individuals from the bondage of abuse and trafficking, to train students to recognize and avoid abuse and to train freed individuals in useful employment to make a new start. All of this while sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the people of Thailand and demonstrating His power to change lives. For Freedom International has no paid employees. All of our interns are volunteers who raise funds for their support through our donor platform and draw upon them to meet their monthly living expenses.
