Mission

The mission of For the Nations Refugee Outreach is to provide general education and family services that help meet the practical needs of refugees and to share with them the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Programs

5 programs

English Language and Literacy & GED Classes: FTN provides free, quality English & literacy classes as well as a GED class, which all include a Christian gospel message. These classes are offered twice daily (M-F) and serve 500 refugees from more than 20 countries from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Classes have excellent teachers and curriculum for English, literacy, and Bible teaching, which is noted by student progress. Student attendance is required for continued participation in the classes.

Preschool: For the Nations provides free, quality preschool for refugees children ages 3-5. Preschool is offered twice daily (M-F) and serves 120 students from more than 20 countries. Classes have excellent teachers and curriculum, which includes pre-math & pre-reading skills, art, fine and gross motor skills, and Christian Bible teaching.

After School Program: For the Nations also runs after school programs for elementary aged refugees Monday-Thursday, serving 160 youth. During the time after school, staff and volunteers provide help with homework,reading and math tutoring, snacks, supervised playtime, Christian Bible teaching and mentorship, and extracurricular activities such as art and taekwondo.

Family Services: Family services includes extended casework for refugee families, including help with school enrollment, immigration legal services, employment services, access to healthcare, housing, and food, apartment furnishing, community involvement and connections, and other education including citizenship and life skills seminars. We also provide other outreaches and events along with community partners such as vaccine clinics, school enrollment events, dental clinics, and Christmas toy drives.
