To improve the quality of life and outcomes of adolescent and young adults with cancer by enabling the healthcare community, empowering patients and raising awareness.

Psychological services include an aya clinical psychologist that provides therapy sessions, a psychologist and nurse that provide aya support group facilitation and research assistants that work with the fwaya clinical psychologist to research, write and publish aya specific information important for future treatments and educational awareness.
The organization works with local health care organizations to make educational presentations regarding the issues in treating cancer patients within the 15 to 29 year age group, including but not limited to their unique physiological, psychological and social needs, the clinical trials available to patients of that age group, and any other specific resources that may be available to the physicians and/or the patients to facilitate the treatment. The organization also lectures at high schools, colleges, and universities to promote healthy living, cancer prevention, and self-advocacy throughout the fort worth community.
