The corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code or the corresponding section of any future tax code, including but not limited to the prevention of cruelty to animals, by (1) taking custody of, caring for and, if possible, finding new homes for, pet birds delivered by their former owners and (2) educating the public with respect to birds as pets and in the wild.
