Programs
3 programs
Equity in Entrepreneurship: This program helps members of the local community that want to start a new business enter into early-stage entrepreneurship. Participants learn the basics of business finance budgeting marketing and working within our local government and business ecosystem. Since the programs inception in 2021 our program has provided the foundations for business sustainability along with startup micro-seed funding and thus successfully assisted the launch of 46 new Florida State registered businesses.
Student STEM & Robotics: This program promotes Middle and High School level education in Science Technology Engineering and Math through direct hands-on practical application of all elements of STEM to their team-based competitive robotics technology projects and challenges. Learning far more than they realize the participating students are well positioned for pursuing technical and professional degrees in college and skilled positions in technical industry. This year the program provided experiential STEM services to approximately 1000 students from local public-school teams as well as our own in-house student teams.
RoboticonTM is another program organized and produced by the Foundation for Community Driven Innovation. ROBOTICON presents a high-quality team-based competitive robotics event that inspires youth through its mentor supported hands-on skill building experience. The challenges of the competition inspire students to understand the real-world importance and applications of STEM skills. Since its inception is 2014 Roboticon has engaged over 23,000 students including approximately 1000 students in 2024 alone.
