The Foundation was founded in 1988 to serve as a trusted convener to drive collective action on high-priority health care topics. The Foundation is currently home to programs and initiates focused on meaningful chart-abstracted clinical data, developing consensus guidelines, and improving the quality of health care delivery, payment and experience.

OB COAP is a collaborative quality improvement program helping obstetrical care providers deliver optimum care to the childbearing people and the babies they take care of.

Cardiac COAP: Led by physicians in clinical practice, COAP focuses on cardiac care and procedures. COAPs work has reduced errors as well as care variations in hospitals statewide.

The Bree Collaborative is a public/private group of Governor-appointed members who select health care services annually with high variation, poor outcomes, or a safety or an equity issue to develop best-practice, evidence-informed guidelines. Guidelines are used by the public and private sectors for health care purchasing, delivery, and regulation. data-driven quality improvement activities in hospitals performing general surgerybariatrics, colorectal, small bowel obstruction and appendectomiesacross the Pacific Northwest.
