Our purpose is to create more conscious communities through the art and practices of writing in community. We offer regular writing circles for women and other marginalized community members; art exhibits featuring regional women artists; publications, including an annual anthology of women writers and artists, with national distribution; special events featuring women writers, artists, and leaders; internship and fellowships for high school and college students and young professionals; leadership development programs for women leaders; and an annual book festival featuring local authors. Participants reached: writing circles (300); art exhibitions (1-2 per year, featuring more than 80 artists, with 100 attendees; publications (an annual anthology [300] featuring more than 85 participants, reaching over 300 readers nationally; special events (200 attendees); internship programs (5-15 women); leadership program (6-8 women leaders); book festival (35+ authors, 200+ attendees).
