Mission
Fwle is a nonprofit corporation organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code of 1986, for the specific objective of advancing the personal and professional growth of women of all backgrounds, including women of color, to achieve their highest potential as leaders of our workplaces, communities, and society in equal partnership with men. The corporation's initiatives, programs and events are primarily aimed at the education and development of women and girls, but are open and inclusive of men as well, and strive to impart leadership lessons to persons of all walks of life. More specifically, as we near completion of the first quarter of the 21st century, concerns are mounting that the elevation of women to leadership positions in america seems to have plateaued at still unequal levels, fwle aims to continue expansion of the pipeline of women leaders and help eliminate the gender/racial leadership disp

Aspiring women iv webinar series in 2024 fwle produced "aspiring women series iv: presented by fwle", the foundation's virtual program. This webinar series is founded on two basic premises: that today's leaders have a thirst for continuous learning beyond our two-day women's leadership conference ("wlc") - as efficacious as wlc may be, and a broader audience can potentially be reached through a virtual platform. Aspiring women iv achieved 1,169 total unique registrants (i.e., registered for at least one session) across six (6) one- hour sessions, demonstrating the desire of leaders for continuous learning. Like wlc, our aspiring women series examines leadership topics that are designed to build skills and strategies to meet practical challenges that 21st century leaders confront - women, women of color, and men alike. Our 2024 curriculum included: "is there a hole in your bucket list? How to overcome obstacles that keep you from achieving your goals" session 1 o "elevate your impact: the art of strategic delegation: unlocking productivity, relieving stress, and finding focus at work and in life" session 2 o "empowering resilience: transforming anxiety into leadership strength for women" session 3 o "giving & receiving feedback" session 4 o "positive communication for leaders: part 1" session 5 o "positive communication for leaders: part 2" session 6 the following survey responses are representative of the overwhelmingly positive comments our aspiring women iv sessions received: -"thank you for putting these programs together. Please continue inspiring us all" regarding session 1 -"i've already recommended the sessions to my colleagues and friends." regarding session 2 -"this message hit spot on for me in my life at the moment. I feel so much more encouraged after attending and appreciate the handout that i can use for future challenges that i face - it gives me time and tools to help process through my anxiety (with work and home life). Thank you" regarding session 3 -"once again, another very relevant topic for not only upcoming leadership talent but existing leadership." regarding session 4 -"this content was great as were the presenters. They used examples as demonstration, they were interactive, and upbeat. It was a pleasure to attend and beneficial." regarding session 5 -"it felt like i was participating in a podcast. Very professional and great ideas/tools provided. Great job" regarding session 6
