FOURTEEN ANGELS EL SALVADOR is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization established in 2008 with a focused purpose to financially help families with children living with disabilities or life-threatening illnesses such as renal insufficiency and chronic kidney failure, to name a few, in an underserved and economically challenged community in El Salvador. The organization was founded by Reina Serrano based on a desire to help others in need while living with a son disabled by cerebral palsy. The organization was founded based on a desire to help and serve children and their families who suffer from a decease called chronic renal failure, specifically at the Benjamin Bloom National Childrens Hospital in San Salvador, El Salvador. The underserved and economically challenged families living in this region lack the most basic health and human welfare services.
