To encourage fraternal, educational, charitable, and social activities among law enforcement officers and cultivate a spirit of fraternalism with mutual helpfulness among the organization's members and the people the organization serves.

Conferences and educational training and seminar programs providing education on topics like labor issues, legal aid, benefits, grievances, safety issues and police pensions. The conferences provide a fraternal setting to meet and discuss various law enforcement issues with other fop members throughout the country. In addition, the lodge mails out a news journal to its entire membership.
