Freedom project works alongside the community to dismantle systems of oppression and heal from the traumatic effects on people who are targeted and impacted by incarceration.

Programs

The rpkc initiative focuses on those at highest risk for victimization or perpetration of gun violence across king county and tailors efforts to meet the needs of individuals and families who are directly impacted. Participants in the rpkc initiative are identified through critical incident response, street outreach efforts, law enforcement contact, hospitalization, and data from the prosecuting attorney's office. Participants are referred into the rpkc service provider network for wrap-around case management and follow-up care. Families receive emergency supports for temporary relocation, disability accommodations, vigil and funeral costs as needed.our accomplishments are : * conflict mapping and relentless engagement assignment* hotspot remediation* outreach, strategic community engagement and restoration activities* referral to and enrollment in rpkc services* healing-centered care coordination and case management* family support services* comprehensive critical incident response that includes deployment to shooting scenes, hospital, vigils, and funerals to deliver violence interruption services including de-escalation, mediation and community safety support* high-intensity engagement and support for individuals and families identified as high- risk for gun violence involvement* designated point of contact at hospital, in community hot spots and at engagement events through identified credible messengers to ensure rapid trust* referral and services linkage for high-risk individuals and families to community-based providers for restoration and case management services* increasing community capacity for serving individuals and families most directly impacted by gun violence* decreasing incidents of gun violence and negative law enforcement contact
