FreeFrom creates pathways to safety and financial security for survivors of gender-based violence.

Systems Change: The agency mobilizes powerful institutions-employers banks and all levels of government-to create structural change that supports survivors. Its state and federal policy work co-designed with 4,000+ survivors sets clear priorities to improve financial security and safety. The agency partner with employers through our Survivor Supportive Workplaces initiative to help them develop and provide policies and benefits to create more supportive workplaces for survivors of gender-based violence.

Expansive Storytelling: Through its storytelling and research the agency reframes gender-based violence and spur action toward solutions. Its survivor-led storytelling projects such as the documentary SURVIVOR MADE center lived experience and shift the narrative away from despair to one of possibility. With one of the most robust datasets on survivorship in the U.S. the agency has conducted groundbreaking research to illuminate the economic impact of gender-based violence.

Resource & Expand the Movement: The agency builds survivors collective power bringing more funding to the movement to end gender-based violence and creating sustainability for long term change. Its Survivor Wealth Summit brings together survivors advocates funders and policymakers to collaborate and innovate. Through coordinated advocacy efforts the agency mobilizes partners and funders to increase investment in this work. The agency also produces in-depth research like Survivors Know Best a study to inform effective support strategies and drive the conversation forward.
