Volunteers assist in coordinating in various recreational activities sponsored by this organization.

The annual runblossom races are held on the beautiful arkansas riverwalk. The races included are a 5k and a kids run. These take place as part of thecanon city mussic and blossom festival each year. Over 600 participants in 2024.
Our "1% for trails initiative" funds all things trails and outdoor recreation in the royal gorge region. This promotes businesses around fremont county to elect adding a 1% donation onto their customers' bills. Customers, in turn, have the option to opt out of the donation.
Our annual royal 50 gorgeous 25 mountain bike race and new event, tunnel vision, are growing community events that take place on a local trail system. They are designed to welcome mountain bike riders and racers from accross the state of colorado, allowing them to race a challenging course in a scenic setting. Canon city has a growing and robust network of trails. These are designed to welcome hiking and biking for people from the local area as well as across the state of colorado.
