Programs
1 program
Our organization created a curriculum called "Knowing Your Rights and Engaging in the Legislative Process" where we taught disenfranchised youth how to exercise their 4th 5th and 6th amendment rights when encountering law enforcement and police officers. This program focus was on stopping those encounters from becoming confrontational and physically or verbally confrontational. The Legislative Process taught the youth the importance of voting and how to register to vote. We taught the youth how to create bills that become law and how to locate and identify their local representatives such as their Senators Delegates and Council Members and Mayors
