Future of energy transition and security: the world order and globalization hub hosted a "future of energy transition and security" study tour from december 07-14th 2024 in washington, houston, welcoming 9 participants from 9 countries. During the study tour, there were one panel event and several meetings. Panel: moderated roundtable discussion by laura goldberg, center of houston's future. There were additional sessions, including a meeting with frances coln, senior director and team leader, international climate policy, center for american progress, mackenzie fallt, legislative director, and peter trapp, senior legislative assistant, u.s. House representative jason crow, (co-6), robert schlotterer, manager & global head, extractives industries, world bank, becky cairns, director of federal affairs, offshore wind, rwe, alice hill, senior fellow for energy and the environment, council on foreign relations, christine harbin, climate and energy policy advisor, u.s. Senator bill cassidy (r-la), olga khakova, deputy director, european energy security, global energy center atlantic council, medha surampudy, staff member, house energy and commerce committee energy, climate and grid security subcommittee, paula glover, president, alliance to save energy, leslie hill, senior advisor of energy, minerals and realty management, bureau of land management, mario loyola, heritage foundation, christopher guith, senior vice president, global energy institute, u.s. Chamber of commerce, dr. Peter hartley, rice scholar of energy economics and dr.
