Education Programs. Friends of Dangberg hired an education specialist in September 2023. The specialist is responsible for developing educational programs for youth, with an emphasis on third and fourth grade students in public, private, and home schools. In 2023-24, 153 youth (along with 140 accompanying adults) participated in eight programs at the park, including a history scavenger hunt along with agriculture, photography, gardening, and stargazing events. In addition, staff made two in-school presentations focused on local history and living history portrayals (Chautauqua).

Friends of Dangberg provided interpretive and collection management services throughout the tax year. Specifically, it provided professional management of the park's large historic artifact collection, and used these items to share the history of the Dangberg family and the local area via guided tours and other activities, serving 1,220 people. In FY2023-24, accomplishments included finalizing the arrangement and description of the personal correspondence collection, and continued enhancements to the storage and control of other collection components, such as clothing. A special exhibit in December 2023 highlighted unique items from throughout the collection. Expenses for interpretive and collection management services totalled $8,644, with no grants provided, and $3,594 in revenue.

Expenses: $9K

Friends of Dangberg, due to the generosity of others who donated specifically for this purpose, was able to make a donation/grant of $3,852 to Community Foundation of Northern Nevada (CFNN), a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The money was added the Dangberg Home Ranch Endowment Fund, which is owned and managed by CFNN to generate a return solely benefiting the publicly owned Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park, supporting restoration and other projects as possible. There were no other expenses and no revenue associated with this activity.
