Mission
Friends of indian lake peninsula is dedicated to the preservation, protection, and stewardship of green space for its use as passive parks in the city of hendersonville, tn. It works to protect the natural and historical integrity of the area by supporting public access, maintaining and enhancing its features and expandiong its legacy for future generations. We have accomplished the first goal of our mission, which is to buy half of the 73 acres and convince the city to purchase the other half for the development of a passive park. The purpose of our organization at this point is to provide funding through grants and donations for improvements to the land that will allow the community to safely access all 73 acres to provide educational and healthy lifestyle opportunities for young and old.
