Mission
To provide quality education opportunities to the children of Rubuguri, Uganda so they may become effective leaders in their families, communities, and country, while reducing poverty in the community. To build a first class education facility.
Programs
2 programs
School supplies, desks, sports equipment, and shoes and sweaters for students were purchased. The school added a second girls volleyball team as well as a boys volleyball team. Ten students received sponsorships that cover their tuition, uniforms, school supplies, and on-campus housing at St. Kizito Rubuguri Primary School and St. Joseph Secondary and Vocational School. Books were supplied to create a school library. Renovations were made at the campsite for guests. Two priests were taken by board members to Uganda to visit the school, learn more about the needs, and generate awareness for the organization. An article was published in the OC Catholic newspaper about their visit.
Participated in building renovations, conducted a community needs assessment for eight schools as part of a Rotary global grant. Attended Rotary Club of Mbarara meeting and gave a presentation requesting partnership on a Rotary Global Grant. Continue to work with RC Mbarara on the project. Board members visited Rubuguri three times to check on progress, interact with children, and deliver donated supplies and books. Met with and delivered supplies to Kisoro District Officials to help expand girls volleyball to additional schools in Kisoro District. Visited secondary schools where several sponsored students will attend in 2025.
